About The Man Behind The Words

The Universe According to Charlie is a website that genuinely tries to be funny, and is written by full-time internet gremlin Charlie. Charlie enjoys nature but simultaneously despises the birds that spread their wings and fly throughout the blue of the sky. He likes being around people but you would never find him purposefully interacting with another human. Scientists have scrambled and mothers and fathers have had tears welled in their eyes while trying to figure out this perplexing human and the strange things he does. This blog is essentially a page where he tries to sound smart with his words that he googled but ultimately sounds like the illegible rantings of a monkey pumped with LSD.

Sometimes he will say something politically incorrect or offensive, and others he will write a BuzzFeed inspired list post. Once in a blue moon he’ll share a personal experience (but only the fun ones so everyone will believe his life is cheery and eventful), and every once in a while he’ll make up a fake disease. He’ll try to be smart, but an unequivocal guarantee is that insanity will ring out and not one will be sparedGo_away__NEVER_come_back

  2. Thank you Charlie for coming by and liking my blog and for giving me the lovely blog award. I just read through your posts here and you are correct you do have a wonderful voice. The greatest gift a writer can give themselves is their early writings. I love when I find something I’ve written years ago. It so insightful. So keep on keeping on and write your heart out. By the way loved the Halloween jokes. 😄

  3. This was definitely interesting to read, and that’s really all you need to be a successful writer; to be able to captivate your readers. I’m also a terrible speller, but hey, that’s what spell-check is for am I right?

  4. I am glad to see you writing, Charlie…don’t give up on publishing someday. It took me until 50 something to publish, but I did. I haven’t made much, but I have published 6-7 short stories and a collection of them as a book. I can’t work as a teacher anymore, so I write when I feel like it. Keep going!

    • I can’t thank you enough for the encouraging words you have given me. And, believe me when I’m saying this, I will look back at them when I’m having trouble writing. 🙂

  5. Hey Charlie! This blog is super cool. I remember the day it came out…..
    See you soon!

    • How convenient is it that the day I read through all of the books we made as kids, and your Chirp Page, while you left a comment on the same day? It was so nice to see your comment! I hope to see you soon! 😊

  6. You are hilarious. And a gifted writer.
